Android! Finally!

My two year contract with tmobile finally ended yesterday and I got the mytouch 4g yesterday at costco for 99 bucks after rebate.  I’ve been really happy with this phone because it totally beats out the edge connection I was getting with my blackberry. I’m blogging right now from the wordpress app while using swype and it’s been amazingly accurate. i still suck at typing without a tactile keyboard but I’ll get better I’m sure. If anyone has any good tips, let me know.

I’m sitting here at LAX waiting for a delayed flight home so I might as well blog from my phone.

After visiting New Zealand, I kinda feel a bit ignorant that I didn’t know how much of a big deal rugby is to the rest of the world. Pretty much the whole country of New Zealand is crazy about their All Blacks team the way we’re crazy about Texas Longhorn football. In fact, on the flight back here to the states, I watched the whole movie Invictus starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon which is about rugby and South Africa upsetting the badass New Zealand All Blacks. I was a little upset that I scheduled our return flight on the Saturday when New Zealand was playing Ireland just so I could give myself a day to recover before heading back to work.

I still don’t understand the scoring in rugby but I do know that it’s pretty damn hardcore since they don’t wear any pads. But I do think if the US started playing internationally, we could put some NFL guys in there and start kicking some international ass. I’m not sure why rugby hasn’t caught on here, but it should! = win

I’m probably late, but I just discovered the app for my Blackberry. I’ve discovered a perfect harmony across several of my devices thanks to The first step has been to setup your iTunes to scrobble all your songs to every time you listen to something. Also, when you connect your iPod to your computer, make sure all those songs you listened to get scrobbled to If you’ve got that set up, you can access “Your Library” on anywhere – any PC, your iPhone, Blackberry, whatever. “Your Library” basically consists of the songs you’ve scrobbled.

So to make a long story short, I’ve got a nice little shuffled list of all the songs I listen to streaming to me on my Blackberry. And there’s no possibility of them giving me a crappy recommendation like Pandora or Slacker Radio can possibly do. If you’ve got everything synced up correctly, you will be on your way to success.

If you want to add me on

This is our dog Winston.. He’s spent a lot of time in San Antonio with my parents since we’ve been out of town so much. But I don’t think they mind taking care of him especially since Chase died in July. I don’t know how we’d be able to take care of this dog especially if my parents still lived in El Paso… Dogs are a much bigger responsibility than we think. At least we know that he’s probably happy out there because he has a huge yard to run around in instead of being cooped up in a 1300 sq ft condo.
