Just so you know, I will never refer to Kristine as “the fiancé” or “the wife” or “the Mrs.”. I will refer to her by her name because she has a name.

i finally found your blog. this is the only post that interested me haha. i thought it was sooooo awesome to be thought of as “the fiance” and i think its soooooo much cooler now to be able to be known as “the wife” or “the mrs.” like when someone asks me how’s the husband doing- it means so much more than just asking how tim’s doing because it’s a reminder of that special bond we share. i don’t know. it’s just me i guess- but it’s not like everyday you can be called the finace or the wife or anything like that. but if my sister doesnt like being called that, then by all means don’t call her anything she doesn’t like.
just to make it more clear, i’m not talking about the title itself. I’m talking about using the article “THE” to refer to a significant other. I just think it makes it less personal and I think it’s just kinda tacky.
